YEAR SIX pupils set to make the transition to Barry Comprehensive School have been given a taster of what they can expect come September.

With the current school year not yet over, year six students spent the whole day at the school, attending lessons, meeting teachers and finding their way around with help from current students.

Recently, the prospective students’ parents attended a transition evening, where they were shown a presentation about the school and were given the chance to chat to teachers about the new academic year.

These preparations are part of the school’s transition programme, which is designed to make the big move to secondary education a little easier for students and their parents.

Barry Comprehensive said that all of their students-to-be enjoyed the day and were a credit to their primary schools.
