A CHIP shop destroyed by a blaze in May will re-open its doors to customers this Wednesday, July 12.
Barry mayor, Cllr Nic Hodges will declare the Richards Street eaterie open for business at 11.30am.
The damage left the owner Dave and Lauren Farnham facing a £20,000 repair bill following the incident at around 1.46am on Tuesday, May 16.
Firefighters believed flames took hold when the washer-drier, on the premises, overheated.
Brother-in-law Kyle Gee, 31, was asleep in the flat above and was alerted to the drama by the smoke and smell.
Mr Gee was unhurt.
