TRAIN services between Cardiff and the Vale have been disrupted today due to a signal failure.

The fault occurred at Cogan railway station and is affecting services between Cardiff and Penarth and Cardiff and Barry.

A spokesman for Arriva Trains Wales said the Barry line would be closed for about one and a half hours for repair works to be carried out and that Penarth services are currently suspended.

Replacement buses are in operation and work is expected to continue into the early afternoon.
