The following cases were heard at Cardiff and Vale Magistrates' Court sitting at Cardiff:

Daryl David Cummings, aged 24, of Irving Place, Barry, pleaded guilty to one count of assault and one count of destroying a window. A community order and a restraining order were made. He was fined £230 and ordered to pay £260 compensation and £85 costs.

Lee Adrian Hopkins, aged 33, of Pendine Close, Barry, was found guilty of assault. A community order was made requiring electronic monitoring and a curfew requirement for three months. A restraining order was also made. He was ordered to pay £200 compensation, £150 costs and an £85 surcharge.

Lewis Scott Jones, aged 26, of Aeron Close, Barry, pleaded guilty to damaging a car. A community order was made with electronic monitoring and curfew requirement for 40 days. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and an £85 surcharge.

Paul Anthony Pearce, aged 46, of Caernarvon Gardens, Barry, pleaded guilty to one count of assault, one count of using threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour and one count of failing to surrender to custody. A community order was made and he was ordered to pay £100 compensation. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and an £85 surcharge.

Darren Paul Hyde, aged 32, of Williams Crescent, Barry, pleaded guilty to harassment, assault and using threatening or abusive words or behaviour or

disorderly behaviour. He was sentenced to a total of 20 weeks in prison suspended for 24 months. A curfew requirement with electronic tagging was made for 84 days. A restraining order was also made and he was ordered to pay £150 compensation, £85 costs and a £115 surcharge.

Skye Davies, aged 29, of Vere Street, Barry, pleaded guilty to one count of using threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour, two counts of assault and two counts of theft. She was sent to prison for a total of 22 weeks. She was ordered to pay £200 compensation and £85 costs.
