BARRY Island Pleasure Park’s Pirate River Log Flume is in the process of being dismantled in readiness for a new position.
The attraction will be re-positioned on site with the wooden packing removed from the two-chute galvanised steel structure.
The ride - with eight logs, carrying up to four people at a time, negotiating 100,000 litres of water – was brought onto the park last year.
Safety checks will then carried out before visitors step into the logs.
The Pleasure Park has also secured a rollercoaster which the Danter family hope will be as popular as the giant ferris wheel and log flume.
