A MAN has been charged on suspicion of a burglary in Barry.

Officers investigating the incident which happened in St Teilo’s Avenue on Friday, January 6, have arrested 40-year-old Terry Price from Ely in Cambridgeshire.

He was later charged with a dwelling burglary and appeared at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court on Monday, January 9, where he was remanded in custody until his next appearance at Cardiff Crown Court on February 6.

Detective sergeant Phil Marchant said: "Burglaries, particularly distraction burglaries and those which occur while the occupants are at home, cause a great deal of distress to the victims.

"Thieves operating in the Vale of Glamorgan should be aware that we are continually on their tails and we will do all we can to bring them before the courts."
