Gibbonsdown, Barry
THE official list of candidates for the upcoming Gibbonsdown by-election has been finalised.
Nominated for the Vale of Glamorgan Council councillor role are Julie Aviet (Welsh Labour), Jennifer Geroni (Welsh Liberal Democrats), Dennis Bernard Harkus, (Independent), Shirley Ann Hodges (Plaid Cymru), Robin James Hunter-Clarke (UKIP Wales), and Leighton Rowlands (Welsh Conservative).
Nominated for the Barry Town Council councillor role are Julie Aviet (Welsh Labour), Leighton Rowlands (Welsh Conservative), and Liam Terrence Colin Townsend (Plaid Cymru).
The by-election, caused by the resignation of former cllr Rob Curtis, will take place on Thursday, November 3.
Gibbonsdown has 3752 people eligible to vote.
