The following cases were heard at Cardiff and Vale Magistrates' Court sitting at Cardiff.

Jane Miller, aged 51, of Dock View Road, Barry, pleaded guilty to assault. A community order was made with a curfew requirement and electronic monitoring. She was ordered to pay £85 costs and an £85 surcharge.

Michelle Ann Clissold, aged 44, of Fairford Street, Barry, pleaded guilty to two counts of theft and one count of attempted theft. A community order was made and she was ordered to pay £85 costs and an £85 surcharge.

Sarah Louise Thomas, aged 30, of Elm Court, Barry, pleaded guilty to stealing items of clothing and stealing £32 worth of razor blades and failing to surrender to custody. She was given a 12 week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months. She was ordered to pay £100 costs and a £115 surcharge.

Gerard John Clogg, aged 44, of Holton Road, Barry, pleaded guilty to stealing two pieces of packed steak worth £13.30. He was discharged conditionally for nine months and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £20 surcharge.

Martyn John Havard, aged 35, of Evans Street, Barry, pleaded guilty to stealing a bicycle light and puncture repair kit worth £25. A community order was made with a curfew requirement and electronic monitoring. He was ordered to pay £25 compensation, £85 costs and an £85 surcharge.

Joel Morgan, aged 26, of Hywel Crescent, Barry, pleaded guilty to damaging a wall, a door, a photo frame and a door chain and to assault. He was sent to prison for a total of 12 weeks. He was ordered to pay a £115 surcharge.

Alan Edward Payne, aged 32, of St Oswald's Road, Barry, pleaded guilty to sending a threatening Facebook post. He was sent to prison for 12 weeks suspended for two years. A restraining order was made and he was ordered to pay £500 compensation, £85 costs and a £115 surcharge.

Ryan Harry Jones, aged 33, of Friars Road, Barry, pleaded guilty to possessing the class B drug cannabis and class C drug Diazepam. He was discharged conditionally for six months and was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £20 surcharge.

Lynette Eileen Timmins, aged 49, of Hywel Crescent, Barry, pleaded guilty to possessing the class B drug cannabis and possessing the class B drug amphetamine. A community order was made and she was fined £120. She was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £60 surcharge.
