A MAN has been charged with attempted murder after an incident in Barry last week.
Raymond O'Connell appeared at Cardiff Magistrates' Court on Saturday, when he was remanded into custody.
The 63-year-old, from Penarth, will next appear at Cardiff Crown Court in early September.
It follows an incident on Glanmor Crescent, at around 9.15pm on Thursday (August 4).
A 54-year-old woman remains in a critical condition in hospital as a result of the alleged murder attempt.
