MUSIC lovers from across the world are being urged to snap up tickets for the 2016 GlastonBARRY festival before they sell-out.

Ticket sales so far indicate that anyone thinking of attending the annual event could be disappointed if they don’t buy now.

Early Bird Discounted tickets for the event on are still available at £23 for weekend passes on Saturday, July 30 and Sunday, July 31.

Mack Events director, Ross Mackintosh said: “We really urge everyone to get tickets as soon as possible before it’s too late.

“We have really stepped our game up this year. We have ten of the UK's best tribute bands with tributes to Queen, Michael Jackson, Bob Marley, Bon Jovi, Guns and Roses, Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian, Ska and Motown. This year we also have two stages with local bands/acoustic acts performing.”

He said that special guests would include TV channel Made in Cardiff which is filming the event, DJs, and the BBC's Llinos Lee who is compering the festival.

He said: “We have people coming from all over the Uk and are overwhelmed that we have people flying in from as far as France, Spain, and Australia.

“We truly believe that we have gone all out this year with GlastonBARRY. You won't find anywhere in the UK providing this type of event for the price; not even close. The festival is getting bigger every year and we want to keep growing it and making it better each time.”

Mr Mackintosh and his business partner Matt Blumberg said the secret of the event’s success was

putting on an event they would go to themselves, keeping the prices affordable, bringing in the best bands in the UK and appealing to 18 to 80-year-olds.

He said they also believe in going all out on the production side of things.
