THE following cases were heard at Cardiff and Vale Magistrates' Court, sitting at Cardiff.

Samantha Louise Whitlock, aged 25, of Cross Street, Barry, pleaded guilty to assault. She was fined £40 and ordered to pay £100 compensation.

Tyrell James Scanlon, aged 24, of Plymouth Road, Barry, pleaded guilty to damaging a window without lawful excuse and to being in possession of a quantity of cannabis. He was given a restraining order and was ordered to pay a £90 fine, £310 costs and a £90 fine.

Curtis Dean Mitchell, aged 20, of Aberaeron Close, Barry, pleaded guilty to damaging a CCTV camera valued at £200 belonging to Gwalia Housing. He was given a six month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £100 compensation, £85 costs and a £15 surcharge.

Callum James Mialkowski, aged 24, of Marlborough Close, Barry, pleaded guilty to assault and to damaging a flat screen TV without lawful excuse. He was given a 12 month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £300 compensation, an £80 fine and a £20 surcharge.

Wayne David Thomas Fowler, aged 47, of Norwood Crescent, Barry, admitted breaching the terms of a community order issued in August 2014 for two charges of stealing a pedal bike. He was given a six week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months.
