The following cases were heard at Cardiff and Vale Magistrates Court, sitting at Cardiff:

Natalie Catherine Moore, aged 37, of Greenacres, Barry, pleaded guilty to assault. She was given a 12 week prison sentence, suspended for 24 months, and placed under curfew for 60 days. She was also ordered to pay £100 compensation, £620 costs and an £80 surcharge.

Bradley Bird, aged 45, of Holton Road, Barry, pleaded guilty to assault. He was fined £40 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £20 surcharge.

Lee Anthony Mears, aged 27, of Kingsland Crescent, Barry, pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified. He was given an 18 week prison due to this being the sixth offence of driving while disqualified. He was disqualified from driving for 26 months and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £115 surcharge.

Martin John Havard, aged 35, of Evans Street, Barry, pleaded guilty to damaging a window valued at £200 belonging to Hafod Housing. He was given an 18 month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £200 compensation and a £15 surcharge.

Darren Jeffrey Bradshaw, aged 43, of Margaret Avenue, Barry, pleaded guilty to assault. He was fined £405 and ordered to pay £100 compensation, £85 costs and a £41 surcharge.

Julie Marie Rogers, aged 47, of Court Road, Barry, pleaded guilty to assault. She was given an eight week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, was made the subject of a restraining order and was ordered to pay £200 compensation, £300 costs and an £80 surcharge.
