AN APPEAL over a Vale planning committee’s decision to reject a 200 dwelling application in Barry, has been rejected by a Welsh Government inspector.
Developers Taylor Wimpey launched an appeal last year with the Welsh Government planning inspectorate over its application for the homes and associated works at land south of Port Road West, Weycock Cross, in Barry.
Sue Eldridge, who campaigned against development, said news of the decision was “amazing”.
She said: “Everyone has worked so hard fighting this despite the view that the people never win. I hope this proves it’s worth fighting for what you believe in.”
