A COUPLE who set off from Barry on an adventure around the world are broadcasting their trip in an incredible series of video blogs.

Capturing incredible shots of their journey, using equipment that includes a flying drone camera, Aimee Bannister and Craig Holmes are having an adventure of a lifetime and putting it together in what they call "the best travel vlog in the universe" on their "Kinging It" Youtube page and website.

The backstory to the pair's live-life-to-the-full philosophy is just as incredible as the videos they have captured across America, Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

Craig and Aimee met in June 2008, while Aimee was going through Chemotherapy having been diagnosed with cancer at age 18, something also documented in a vlog titled "My cancer story".

When Craig was due to head off to Australia they kept in touch every day via email and telephone and in October - when Aimee was given the all clear - she flew out to Sydney.

Shortly afterwards they set off for New Zealand, where just a week into the trip, Craig broke his neck in a trampolining accident.

Six years on, with both in good health, the pair saved up and headed off across the world.

The Kinging It Youtube channel has documented their journey to New York, LasVegas, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Hawaii, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Australia and now New Zealand where they are living in a camper van.

Speaking about their idea to document the trip - in footage that has to be seen to be believed, and has so far racked up tens of thousands of views - Craig, 27, said: "We had watched other Youtubers and thought we could do a better job.

"We wanted to create a real travel vlog that wasn't trying too hard and was snappy and entertaining."

Aimee added: "It was also a great way for our families back home to keep up to date with our shenanigans.

"The feedback has been absolutely amazing. We have loads of support from friends and family and many people we haven't even met before on Youtube."

Overall Craig said the message they hoped to be sending out is "just go for it".

"Even if it's not travelling you want to do if it's something down the road or a new job, just go for it," he said.

"Your life won't be any different if you don't change it yourself. We are 100 per cent normal people and all we did was set a savings plan month to month and planned our ultimate trip.

"We also want to thank everyone who's commented, supported, watched and enjoyed our videos."
