NON emergency calls are putting lives at risk according to the Welsh Ambulance Service.
The Choose Well campaign aims to encourage people not to take up services which may be needed by others more
Between August 2014 and February 2015 the service took 19,151 non urgent calls and 318 of these calls saw ambulances called out.
Examples of these calls include an "athlete's foot infection", "two cotton buds in ear" and a "pulled muscle reaching for a charger"
The service is reminding the public not to call the emergency services unless someone's life is in danger or they are seriously ill.
People are advised to either visit their GP or call the NHS Direct Wales which is available around the clock on 0845 46 47.
