BARRY Island will once again have its own Log Flume, the site owner has said.

Henry Danter, who has transformed the Barry Island Pleasure Park site in the short time since taking it over, has said that by the time next season rolls around he expects Barry Island to have not only it's own Log Flume but also a Ferris Wheel.

Mr Danter was handed the keys to the Pleasure Park at the end of March and has began the process of clearing out the site to make way for his grand plan - what he calls the "best park" Barry has ever seen.

Earlier this month the iconic Log Flume - which had fallen into a state of disrepair - was demolished.

Speaking about his plans Mr Danter said: "Everyday we're bringing other machines in there, it'll be full of rides of some description or another.

"We're bringing a big spinning ride called the Wild Mouse, which will be there by Whitsun.

"We're going to have a log flume made, it won't be ready until next season and also a Ferris wheel, but I doubt that will be this season either.

"By next season there will be more in Barry than anyone can imagine or have dreamed of, it'll be the best park it's ever been."
