A CRASH between a stolen car and a vehicle carrying a baby is believed to have involved a wanted man, still on the run in Barry.

Police issued an appeal last week for information regarding the whereabouts of Georgie Michael Norris, 30, wanted for questioning over a string of thefts in Barry and Dinas Powys.

On Saturday, December 13, a stolen black Vauxhall Corsa believed to be carrying Norris was spotted being driven "erratically" through Barry.

At around 3pm the Corsa was involved in a collision with a blue Honda Accord at the junction of Wenvoe Terrace and Ireland Road. The Corsa was driven away from the scene.

The Honda was carrying a baby, who was checked by paramedics at the scene as a precaution.

The black Corsa was later found by police and a 26-year-old female was arrested on suspicion of burglary.

Detective Sergeant David Thomas said: “The driver of the black Corsa, which was originally reported stolen in November, was seen to be driving erratically through the town centre today and has failed to stop at the scene.

"We have now recovered the black Corsa and arrested a 26-year-old female on suspicion of burglary. We are appealing for public’s assistance is locating 30-year-old Georgie Norris.

"If you any information that assist us in locating Norris, please call Barry CID on 101 quoting reference 1400464113."
