FAMILIES with young children are being sought by a radio company who will be recording on Barry Island in the new year.

Somerset based production company Audio Factory are looking for a volunteer family to take part in a rock pooling special for a national children's radio series that is being recorded at Cold Knap Point in either January or February.

Audio Factory are the team behind various audio books, radio adverts, voiceovers and the CBeebies Radio show Poppy's Play Dates.

The new series seeks to teach children about caring for the environment and provide young listeners with the opportunity to eavesdrop on the activities of other children as they take part in eco-friendly activities with their friends and families.

This series will be aimed at children aged three to seven and so Audio Factory are encouraging families with children of a similar age to come forward if they fancy a fun day out with their recording team.

The series creators have even promised to provide fish and chips for the participating family.
