CHILDREN at a Barry community centre have said it with flowers in their own unique tribute to those who have fought in wars.

Youngsters, aged five to 11, presented Vale MP Alun Cairns with a commemorative wreath for Remembrance Sunday, next month, when he visited their popular Friday Club at Castleland Community Centre.

Mr Cairns spent the evening with children who regularly attend from all parts of Barry to learn more about the activities organised for the children every week.

Mr Cairns said: “The visit to the Castleland Community Centre was very interesting and I had great fun getting involved in many of the activities organised by Eileen, Tanya and the team. I was delighted to receive a wreath made skilfully by the children in the club for Remembrance Sunday, and thanked the children and organisers for such a wonderful gesture.”
