A GROUP of parents have qualified themselves to be first aid experts in health.

Members from Cadoxton Family Group recently took part in a three week emergency first aid at work course, run by trainer Andy Wallace from FAST Gladstone Road.

The course, funded as part of the Families First Project, included CPR, unconsciousness, bleeding, burns and choking.

All parents successfully completed the course and were awarded certificates which are valid for three years.

A group spokeswoman said these were vital skills which all parents should have knowledge of, as you never know when a situation requiring first aid is going to arise.

Cadoxton Family Group meet in Cadogs Cafe every Wednesday and Thursday.

New members are welcome.
