SEVERE travel delays are expected across Barry and the Vale today after a cargo train derailed in the early hours of the morning.
At 2.30am the two back wagons of the freight train came off the tracks at Porthkerry, damaging the tracks.
The line between Barry and Bridgend is currently closed in both directions and is expected to remain closed until Friday, October 3.
Replacement buses are operating between Barry and Bridgend departing from Barry at five minutes past the hour and from Rhoose at 20 minutes past the hour.
