IT SEEMS everyone has made a great start to the new year at Bryn Hafren, year 10 are working on their stalls for the Welsh Baccalaureate Fayre. This will be held on October 16, the girls have been given set a budget of £10 to create an innovate product to be sold at the fayre.

All money raised this year will be donated to Help the Heroes and Alzeimers charity.

10AE kicked off the fundraising last week with a cake break, raising £38.

Last year an astounding £9179.86 was raised in total by Bryn Hafren pupils helping 32 different charities!

Mrs Dix, Head of Year seven said she had received lots of positive comments from staff regarding the behaviour and academic effort of Year 7 this year, “I am very pleased to say that Year 7 are taking part in lots of extra-curricular activities!

Well done Year seven - it is good to see you taking part fully in school life here at Bryn Hafren”.

The pupils are looking forward to seeing some of their old friends from primary school soon in the forthcoming Open Evening on Thursday, October 23 and showing them all the exciting things they have been up to so far.
