A BARRY man pleaded guilty to disorderedly behaviour and eight counts of damaging wing mirrors to cars parked on a town centre street.

Dwayne Campbell, 28, of Barry Road, Barry appeared before Cardiff and Vale Magistrates' court on Thursday, September 25 charged with the offences which took place on Tuesday, September 9.

The court heard how Campbell had used threatening or abusive words or behaviour on Buttrills Road before damaging and attempting to destroy the wing mirrors of eight cars, a Citroen C1, a Toyota Celica, a Proton, a Seat Ibiza, a Renault Megane, a Volvo V70, a Renault Clio and a Subaru Legacy.

For the charge of using threatening behaviour Campbell was ordered to pay £50 compensation, a £100 fine, £85 costs and a £60 surcharge.

For the charges of attempting to destroy the wing mirrors he was made the subject of a community order and placed under a nightly curfew until January 3, 2015.
