CCTV monitoring in the Vale of Glamorgan led to seven arrests last week.

The Vale of Glamorgan Council's CCTV team contacted police a total of 36 times during the week ending Sunday, September 28.

On Tuesday, September 23 one person was arrested on Holton Road, Barry for theft.

On Thursday, September 25 one person was arrested on Holton Road for theft, while another was arrested on Barry Road for being wanted on a warrant.

On Friday, September 26 on Williams Crescent, one person was arrested for being in possession of an illegal substance, and one person was arrested for being wanted on a warrant.

On Saturday, September 27 another person was arrested on Holton Road for theft.

On Sunday, September 28 one person was arrested on Windsor Road, Penarth for assault.

All crimes are alleged at the time of incident.

The Vale of Glamorgan’s CCTV operation is part of the Safer Vale Partnership, which comprises of representatives of the Vale of Glamorgan Council, Police, Fire and Rescue, Probation and Crown Prosecution Services, Vale Local Health Board, NHS Trusts, Vale Council for Voluntary Service and other statutory and voluntary bodies.
