A BARRY primary school brewed up a tasty sum when it hosted its Macmillan coffee morning on Thursday, September 25.
Ysgol Gwaun Y Nant, in Gibbonsdown, raised £340.02 when its Cylch Ffrindiau Gwaun Y Nant group through down the hot drink and cake fundraising challenge to parents and children.
Families First facilitator Natalie Page, an LSA at the school, said she was extremely proud of how well supported the morning was.
She said: “Macmillan is a fantastic charity for us to support and the school community came out in force to raise as much money as possible.”
She thanked everyone for their support – including the local businesses that donated to the raffle.
They included Little Blue Deli, Coconuts, Jungle Jacks, Bagnall's Barbers ,Miss Holmes, Liz Shackell and The Secret Garden of Beauty.
