SOUTH Wales Police are appealing for witnesses to a burglary that occurred on Fonmon Road, Rhoose, on Tuesday, August 26 between 9.40am and 1.15pm.
Thieves broke into the home by forcing the rear conservatory patio doors and stole precious jewellery worth thousands of pounds.
Police in Barry are appealing for the safe return of the jewellery.
DC Rachel Knowles said: “All the items are of great sentimental value and are very precious to the owner. Some of the pieces are quite distinctive, including two South African Kruggerrands.
"We are appealing for anyone who has seen any of the pieces to come forward and let us know."
