RANGERS at Porthkerry Country Park are calling for volunteers to help clear the streams of rubbish and fallen branches.
On Saturday, August 30 park rangers, along with the Vale of Glamorgan Council’s Environmental Health team, Welsh Water and NRW, will be clearing the streams, and are offering a free barbecue for anyone willing to lend a hand.
Volunteers can meet at the gazebo on the main meadow from 10am on the day, and are advised to wear wellies, gloves, and old clothes.
Children are welcome to come along and help, but must be accompanied by an adult.
Anyone interested in helping out can contact the park rangers on 01446 733589, or email porthkerry@valeofglamorgan.gov.uk.
