A VISIT to VIBE Creative provided an opportunity for Jane Hutt AM to congratulate award winning film-makers Kyomi Martyn and Joe Blake.

With over 300 Job opportunities provided under the Welsh Government's Jobs Growth Wales programme, Mrs Hutt set out to meet some of the young people benefitting in Barry.

Kyomi and Joe recently came in first for the over 18s Judge’s Choice and the over 18s People’s Choice categories at the "Filter Wales” awards for their powerful film about the damage smoking can do.

They're success is in part thanks to the experience they have gained at VIBE which has the most up-to-date media equipment for its work with young people in the Vale of Glamorgan - helping them become accomplished filmmakers.

Jane Hutt said: "It is great to see how Jobs Growth Wales has made such a difference to the lives of young people like Kyomi and Joe thanks to employers and projects like VIBE Creative in Barry."
