POLICE are searching for a man who used fake number plates to fill his Mercedes with stolen petrol.
A CCTV image of the suspected fuel thief has been released by police in Barry.
The suspect is wanted in connection with theft of fuel from Waycock Cross Filling Station in Barry on Thursday, June 19 at around 3pm.
The silver Mercedes he was driving was fitted with fake number plates when he filled up £70 worth of fuel and drove off without paying.
Anyone with information should contact South Wales Police on 101.
