THE Vale Council led Barry Communities First will be hosting a range of free holiday camps throughout late July and early August for children aged seven-12 years.

On the camps, held at both Buttrills Community Centre and Coastlands Family Church, children will be able to participate in a range of sports, craft activities, cookery, and much more.

Buttrills Community Centre will host two camps, week one will take place on Monday and Thursday, July 28 and 31, week two will run on Monday and Thursday, August 4 and 7. Coastlands Family Church will host two further camps with week three taking place on Tuesday and Thursday, August 12 and 14, with week four running on Tuesday and Thursday, August 19 and 21.

Week three and four will take place at Coastlands Family Church will run on August 12-14 and 19-21.

All camps will run between 10am and 2pm on each day and can accommodate 20 children per week.

In addition to this all attendees will be invited to a further presentation, and will have the chance to be a part of the Nearly Wild Show. The show will be on Friday, August 8, for those attending Buttrills Community Centre and Friday, August 22, for those attending Coastlands Family Church, both from 10am to 12.30pm.

In order to be eligible for these camp children must live in a Barry Communities First area or attend a Communities First School. These are Oak Field Primary, Ysgol Gwaun Y Nant, Palmerston Primary, Colcot Primary, Jenner Park Primary, Cadoxton Primary, Gladstone Primary, Holton Road Primary, Bryn Hafren Comprehensive and Barry Comprehensive.
