Pupil creates perfect design

A BARRY school pupil has eggs-ecuted the perfect design for a church parish’s magazine this Easter.

Holton Primary pupil Tayla Hillberg impressed judges, parish priest Father Ben Andrews, Barry town mayor Cllr Claire Curtis and magazine editor Susan Borges with her design treat.

The competition – to create the front cover of the Parish of Cadoxton-Juxta-Barry's parish magazine – was open to pupils from Holton Primary school.

Tayla was presented with a certificate, the first magazine to be printed for April and a real Easter egg.

Magazine editor Susan Borges said: “We would like to say a big thank you to the children of Holton Primary school for all their wonderful entries.

“It was so very difficult for us to choose just one out of so many wonderful drawings, but I hope that you will all like the one we have chosen, which will be shown on the front cover of our parish magazine for April.

“We hope the children enjoyed taking part.”

All entries will be displayed in Barry Town Library from April 7.
