Birthday hunt for 'Brian' - who lives in 'Barry or Dinas Powys'

AN APPEAL has been launched to find a man thought to be living in Barry or Dinas Powys.

Friends of the man’s family are attempting to find him ahead of his 65th birthday on Tuesday (March 26).

The man, who had the name ‘Brian Pugh’ on his birth certificate, was born on March 26, 1948, at 30a Cowbridge Road in Cardiff to a Joan Barbara Pugh.

He was adopted as a baby and it is thought that he may have changed his name since.

Around seven years ago he attempted to make contact with his birth mother through a letter, but his address has since been lost and there is no way of knowing his adoptive name or where he might be now.

His last known address was somewhere in the Dinas Powys or Barry area.

“It would be good to find Brian as on the 26th he will be celebrating his 65th birthday,” said Sally Vincent, who is helping the family look into where he is now.

“This is a bit of a monumental task, but knowing that Brian wanted to know his family we are hoping that he might read the paper or someone who knows of this special birthday might just make the connection.” She added: “It’s a close friend of ours, his sister Pippa, that is looking for him.

“He didn’t know he had a sister as when he attempted to make contact through a letter no one sent anything back.

“It has only come to light in the last few days that he tried to get in contact.”
