STAFF at a Barry opticians are challenging residents to spot the signs of their charity challenge!

Customers are invited to cast their eyes on the moustache-growing capabilities of Specsavers store director Jamie Pullen and optical assistant Leigh Whitfield, as the normally clean-shaven pair ditch their razors for Movember.

The annual fundraising event, which began in Australia, aims to raise vital funds and awareness for men's health, specifically prostate and testicular cancer.

And the Specsavers team hope customers will back their efforts. Donations will be collected throughout November with all money raised going to Prostrate Cancer UK, The Institute of Cancer Research and The Movember Foundation.

Jamie said: "Too many people die of cancer and Movember is the perfect opportunity to remind men to have annual check-ups and to research any history of the disease in their family.

"I hope our customers will back us as we try to raise as much as we can.

"I'm sure that by the end of the month we'll make for quite an amusing sight!"

To make a donation, visit Specsavers on Holton Road throughout November.
