PUPILS at Oak Field primary school got a taste of Formula One when a single-seater race car arrived in the grounds.
The Gibbonsdown Key Stage 2 pupils flagged down the vehicle which was designed by Cardiff university students.
The Year 6 youngsters asked the students about the performance of the car which is raced against other cars at Silverstone and throughout Europe.
The initiative was targeted to enable children to engage with engineering and to enable them to consider this as their chosen career path before embarking on secondary education.
