AGE Connects Cardiff and Vale will be holding a free tax advice session on Tuesday, March 28.

The session will be held at the Age Connects Senior Health Shop, 38 Holton Road, Barry from 10am to noon.

Come along if you have any worries about your taxes and are too nervous to approach HMRC, there will be a retired professional tax adviser to chat too.

Home visits can be arranged.

Running on the same day will be free and impartial advice on cutting energy bills.

An adviser from NEST which is the Welsh Government programme helping people with home improvements.

The session, from 9.30am to 11.30am, will help you find out if you are eligible for free energy home improvement grants.

No appointment is needed and home visits can be arranged by calling Freephone 0808 8082244.

The shop will also hold an health information session for anyone who has been recently diagnosed with prostate cancer or a carer of a loved one with it.

In line with Prostate Awareness Week, there will be a health care professional from the Cardiff and Vale NHS Trust who will be able to speak to visitors about any issues of concern, how to contact support groups in the area and more.

The session will run from 10am to noon.

No appointment is needed.
