A CELEBRATION took place at Barry Comprehensive School to congratulate 25 Year 7 students on the completion of a 10 week Moving On project.

The project, which is run in partnership with Barry Communities First Transition project, focused on various aspects of school and learning, attendance, behaviour, feelings and friendships.

Many of the young people have been supported with their transition from primary into Barry Comprehensive School and the school are very proud of their achievements over the past 10 weeks.

Parents were also invited along to the school to celebrate with the young people and have a cup of tea and a cupcake.

Ms Neilson, pupil support co-ordinator said: "This is a great project to support Year 6 and Year 7 students who find it both fun and helpful."

The school wish to say well done to all of the young people involved and thank you to the parents who attended on the day.
