Halloween family fun at Barry's Victoria Park!
4:10pm Wednesday 24th October 2012 in News
GO along and have fun, and a rather scary evening on Wednesday, October 31, as the Friends of Victoria Park host a Halloween party in the park for families and children!
After last year's very successful Halloween party, the Friends of Victoria Park are delighted to invite ghosts, ghouls, goblins, and monsters young and small for fun and frights at the monsters ball.
Dare you enter the Halloween tent, walk down the 'corridor of horror', brave the mists, and try and win a prize playing some traditional ghoulish games?
Pin the nose on the witch, bounce the eyeball into a jar, or find the key to the secret door. Try the human fright machine or splat the rancid rat? Don't be too frightened though, it's all in fun!
Join the dance in the monsters ball disco at the bandstand. There are super cash prizes for the best fancy dress for boys, girls and parents too!
Carved pumpkin competition. Bring along your pumpkin and enter it in the free competition. The best efforts win a cash prize as well.
Then try out the witch's kitchen. Witches of Victoria Park (horrible ghastly creatures!) will make you a terrifying tea, creepy cake or cookie, or even a bloodthirsty bun to munch as you enjoy the fun.
The creepy evening of fun starts at 4pm and runs until 7pm. Dress up, go along and have a 'wail' of a time!
Entry is free to the event and Monsters Ball, but there is a small charge for the ghostly games and activities.
