Love Food Hate Waste cookery demonstration in Barry's King Square

THE Vale Council is hosting a Love Food Hate Waste cookery demonstration at King Square, Barry on Tuesday, September 25, from 10am, to show residents how to make the most of the food they usually throw away, to cook delicious meals and save money.

The event will take place between 10am to 4pm and will involve live cookery demonstrations showing how leftovers can be made into meals as well as sharing practical advice on how to plan meals, work out portion sizes, understand date labels and store food correctly to make it last longer.

Fun 'cook-offs' on the day will test culinary skills and showcase tasty recipes. The Barry & District News' very own Laura Rochefort will be taking on Cllr Rob Curtis, Cabinet Member for Environment and Visible Services, at 12.15pm.
