BARRY youngsters can shake their pom-poms as part of a new cheerleading class!
The Cougars All Stars group is running sessions at the Pioneer Hall, on Beryl Road, starting next Friday (September 21).
Cougar All Stars, which was launched in Cardiff in 1999, is welcoming youngsters aged four up, of any ability, to try out the hour-long classes.
Nicola Franks, whose two children are members of the group, said: "There is no level of skill required, as we can coach that. They have so much fun doing it, and parents have fun watching them.
"It's about getting kids out of the house and into a sporting environment which anyone can enjoy.
"People think cheerleading is all about skinny girls looking pretty, but it's not," she added.
"It's about having fun and being part of a team."
The classes run from Pioneer Hall, on Beryl Road, from Friday, September 21 (5.30-6.30pm).
