PUPILS from a Barry school stepped back in time to present their church neighbour with a lasting memory.

Year 2 Holton Primary pupils delivered their own replica model of Crossway Methodist church to help ministers mark its 50th anniversary.

Rev Peter Taylor said: "Through the idea of one of our church members, Debbie Carter, we as a church are hoping to make a 'time capsule' - and invited the school to write and do something for this so that people in the future can find out about the church.

"The children wrote pieces about times they have visited, some did drawings and some made an amazing cardboard model of the church. They did really well."

Rev Peter and Deacon Sam Taylor thanked the school and teacher Mrs Williams, the other churches and the community, with special thanks to Bryan Ashmead and Christopher Pickering for their hard work and efforts with the anniversary booklet and planning the displays.
