POLICE in Barry have been tackling road traffic issues at Barry Comprehensive School.

Officers have taken action after receiving reports of vehicles contravening the 'no right turn' rule from Port Road into the school grounds.

As a result, the local Neighbourhood Policing Team attended the school recently and stopped and advised a number of offending motorists.

PC Ceri Western said: "The 'no right turn' rule is in place to ensure the safety of the children, staff and visitors to the school, so it is crucial that motorists comply.

"Officers will be repeating the exercise in the area in the near future and offending drivers will be dealt with accordingly."
