HOLTON Primary school welcomed the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee with a celebration party.

Blustery conditions prevented staff from laying out a Union flag on the school courtyard, but youngsters still enjoyed an outdoor lunch, face painting, making bunting and learning about the Queen.

Headteacher Andrew Gilbert said: "Every child had a Jubilee mug to take home as a memento."
