YOUNGSTERS can stay cool this half term by making a splash in a selection of free swimming-based activities at the Vale of Glamorgan's leisure centres.
Free swimming sessions will be on offer at certain times during the week in Barry, Penarth and Llantwit Major, while further free activities in the pools will include snorkelling, water polo and a rookie lifeguards course.
Children can also improve their swimming technique by taking swimming lesson crash courses, with half hour lessons costing £4.40.
Outside of the water, other activities on offer include inflatable mega sessions with slides and bouncy castles, as well as dance mat classes, basketball, hockey and extreme dodgeball.
Please note the leisure centres in Penarth and Cowbridge will be closed on Monday, June 4, while the leisure centres in Barry and Llantwit Major will be closed on Tuesday, June 5.
