DO you have a bear that would dare?
St Cadoc's Church (Old village), Cadoxton, is once again holding a sponsored Teddy Bear Parachute Jump on Sunday, May 20 at 2pm.
Each participating bear will undergo a medical in the state-of-the-art first aid tent prior to their jump to ensure they are fit to fly and on safe landing will be awarded a well deserved certificate of bravery.
All parachutes are provided. There will be a prize for the best dressed child’s and adult's bear. So if you have a bear that would dare, sponsor forms are now available from St Cadoc’s (Old Village) Church, Cadoxton, or 01446 749689.
The event will also include a barbecue and back this year is the Gruffalo hunt.
The parishioners of St Cadoc’s and St Mary’s churches take part in the Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas child shoebox appeal, and last year were able to send 628 gift-filled shoeboxes to needy children in Eastern Europe. For some this would be the only gift received at Christmas time. They hope to raise as much money as possible to enable them to reach even more children this Christmas, and all proceeds from the Teddy Bear Parachute Jump event are in aid of the Operation Christmas child shoebox appeal.
