THERE was a mass exodus from Barry on Sunday, as Cardiff City fans headed off to Wembley to see the Bluebirds battle it out with Liverpool in the Carling Cup Final.

Among them were 200 fans who traveled with the Cardiff City Supporters Club, leaving Jenner Park early in the morning on their way to London.

One of the coach organisers, local man Dave Jones, said: "I would like to thank all the supporters who traveled from Jenner Park.

"The trip both to and from Wembley was very stressful, but all who traveled remained very patient.

"I would like to say a special thank you to those in coach 33 - who made our job very easy.

"Fortunately the game itself was superb and the boys did us proud," added Dave, of Suran y Gog.

"I have been very fortunate, as I have been to Wembley four times - and to me this was by far the best performance by the team!"
