WAR with the French! Plague and famine – the good old medieval days!
Dark and terrible times – But do they still know how to have fun at Cosmeston Medieval Village? Of course they do!
On Sunday and Monday, August 29 and 30, between 11am-5pm, Cosmeston Medieval Village, will be hosting a medieval fair.
A rebuilt medieval community with villagers, animals, gardens and buildings full of medieval artefacts, all showing what life was like over 600 years ago.
And if this wasn’t enough there will be armoured medieval warriors, battling with sword and axe, Falconry, have a go archery, medieval mumming (you will have to visit the village to find out what it is). Come and experience medieval life from food and folklore of the village baker and herbalist to the horrors of medieval surgery.
There will also be medieval games and craft stalls and why not try a tipple of ale at the Ivy Bush Tavern or some delicious hog roast A great day out in an authentic medieval village set within 300 acres of beautiful countryside at Cosmeston Lakes Country Park.
