A BARRY mother and daughter are hoping to take a TV talent show by storm when their dance group takes to the stage on Sunday (February 7).
Dancer Anna and choreographer mum Debbie Chapman hope to wow the judges and impress viewers when their group Eclipse performs on Sky1’s Got To Dance.
And the 15-strong dance troupe, from Debbie’s 500-pupil dance school in Rhiwbina, Cardiff, are counting on your votes to send them through to the final – and the chance of a £100,000 prize.
Anna, 21, and Debbie, 50, of Porth-y-Castell, Barry, hope the group – made up of dancers aged 13 to 26 – will brush the competition aside.
"The audition process was very exciting but we were all very nervous," said Anna, whose dad is Waterfront GP John Chapman.
"We had 90 seconds to prove what we could do to the judges, Kimberly Wyatt, Ashley Banjo and Adam Garcia.
"When we finished dancing, we received three gold stars and Adam Garcia said he couldn't fault us."
More than 10,000 acts applied for the show with 3,000 making it past producers to try and impress the judges and make the shortlist of around 100, before deciding the 18 semi-finalists.
"We're quite a versatile group but for this competition we've focused on jazz, lindy hop, ballet and tap," added Anna.
"We're not allowed to reveal what we have planned but we are hoping it will wow the judges and the audience.
"We'd be ever so grateful if everyone could vote so we could make it to the finals!"
The most popular two acts will go through to the final on February 14.
Got To Dance featuring Eclipse is on Sky1 HD and Sky1 at 6pm on Saturday, February 7.
