Barry Island: Filming occurs for final Gavin & Stacey series!

BARRY Island day-trippers found out what's occurring on a visit to Whitmore Bay this week!
Delighted schoolchildren and star-spotting adults walked in on the cast and crew of award-winning sitcom Gavin and Stacey, during filming of the third series.
Ruth Jones, who plays Nessa in the show she co-writes with James Corden (Smithy), with Joanne Page, alias Stacey Shipman, and Rob Brydon (Uncle Bryn), took time out during filming to pose for pictures and to sign autographs for fans.
The Western Shelter’s Island Arcade, made famous in the two previous series, will be joined by a new set of Barry locations.
Porthkerry Park, the Island’s Pleasure Park and Marco’s Café will all feature in what is scheduled to be the third and final series.
