Barry film maker's next Masterpiece

A BARRY film maker who had worldwide success with his first feature film is about to embark on his second project – and is appealing for local help.

Andrew Tanner, of Morlais Street, Barry, was nominated for film festival awards from LA to Thailand for his 2008 debut film Psychosomatic, and he is hoping that his new project Masterpiece will do as well. The 28-year-old part-time Waitrose worker has been given a month off work to complete filming and he is keen to get started.

He said: "The script is written – it’s a drama this time rather than a horror. We have an outlet through an independent film production company and I am confident that the project has real potential.

"We just need to sort out the financing now."

Andrew is looking for investors, sponsors, product placement as well as actors, actresses, set dressers, make-up artists and general helpers.

"We are looking for help – we need a whole team!" he said.

"Whilst we have some good producers on board, some financing and some of the cast, there are still spaces to fill before filming begins.

"The last film was done on a tiny budget so this film will be a bit more professional than that.

"For investors, we are offering return of investment as well as a percentage based on the sum that was invested in the project."

Filming for Masterpiece is set to begin on August 9, with the finished project set to be available to buy in August next year.
