Artistic lesson for Barry pupils

LOCAL artist Karen Hughes visited All Saints Church in Wales Primary School recently to give Year 3 pupils an exciting art lesson.

She talked to the children about the history of art and about Pablo Picasso, whose work the children are studying this term.

Mrs Hughes gave the youngsters a master class on drawing faces. They then sat opposite each other in pairs and drew each other's faces.

At the end of the session there was great fun trying to guess who the faces belonged to! Year 3 teacher Mrs Williams thanked Mrs Hughes for giving up her precious time to work with the class.

The children thoroughly enjoyed it and greatly benefited from the experience.
